Buxton Water Bottle

Between 2006 to 2009 our water usage was reduced by 51%.

Protecting our source

Surrounded by 500 square miles of beautiful unspoilt National Parkland, the Buxton Spring already has the best protection nature can give.

To guarantee its purity even further, we have an agreement with the High Peak District Council to operate two "Protection Zones". Here, any activities that pose the slightest risk to our catchment area are stringently monitored and controlled.

Educating with Project WET

Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to educate children, parents, teachers and the community members about the vital role water plays in our lives.
In 2010 we launched Project WET within the Buxton community, trialling a range of hands-on classroom activities such as the 'drop in a bucket' experiment with teachers and children aged from 10 to 12 years old.

The programme aims to inspire a lifelong respect for water and encourage children to think of creative ways to protect and preserve it.

Managing water resources

Across the beverage industry water consumption is a real test of environmental performance. Water management is one of our top green priorities, and we are sensitive to the importance of using it as efficiently as possible.
Today, Buxton is amongst the "best in class" in the industry for economy of water use. And we're determined to stay there. In 2006 for example, we installed a new control system that radically increased the efficiency of the bottling process at the St Anne's Well source.
