The 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon Expo

Want to get pumped up for the big day and get a taste of what’s to come? The 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon Expo will take place from Wednesday 18th April to Saturday 21st April. With free entry, you can catch up with some of the world’s fastest on their feet. Then, get up to speed on all things long distance, from training to nutrition, with lots of guest speakers and experts.

There’s something for everyone – you don’t need to run to have fun, so bring along friends and family. There will be a range of exhibitors in attendance; charities, health and fitness brands, and of course, your very own hydration helper, Buxton.

Don’t forget to drop by our stand

Not only will we be pulling out all the stops during the marathon to get you naturally pumped up with our BIG Buxton Mile and Spotify Playlist. We’ll be at the Expo making sure you’re completely hydrated and race day ready. This year, we’ve got recycling on our mind and will be taking our efforts to the next level with our #RaceToRecycle. Your water bottles will be collected, drained and recycled in local boroughs.

Our goals for marathon day and beyond

We’re pretty proud of our little bottles and their long lifecycle. Buxton water bottles are made from 20% recyclable plastic and we’re committed to upping this figure in the future.

They’re also 100% recyclable (yes, even the cap and label). So, when you’re hydrating on race day, you can be reassured that your empty bottles will be recycled.

Now, we’re not normally ones for encouraging littering but, on this occasion, when you throw your empty Buxton bottles on the road after you’ve finished with them, we’ll be on hand to collect them all up. That’s because Buxton and London Marathon are committed to recycling as many bottles as possible during the clean-up operation.

On your marks, get set, recycle

You don’t need to be a seasoned veteran to know that hydration is a marathon must. Listen to your body and set off with a bottle of Buxton in your hand, determination in your heart and hopefully not too many blisters on your feet. And as you hobble home, jelly-legged and in a euphoric haze, we’ll be making sure those discarded bottles set off on a journey of their own.
