Do Wet January and take big swig towards a new you

This month, make a resolution to drink more water and embrace better hydration

If you’re like us, Christmas and New Year came and went with its usual flurry of festive over-indulgence. Too many mince pies, a ton of turkey and more than likely, the odd tipple or three. Yep, us Brits know how to do Yuletide celebrations good and proper – with a go-getting, never-say-die attitude to having it large. And we wouldn’t want it any other way (well, we do like a party us Buxtonites).

Say hello to Wet January

Now that’s done and dusted, it’s time to get sensible again, isn’t it? You know, wholesome resolutions and all that. And at Buxton, we’re bang up for helping everyone rise to the challenge of becoming a healthier version of themselves.

After all, pure, natural goodness is what Buxton Natural Mineral Water is all about (and why we’re there year in year out at the Virgin Money London Marathon and Prudential Ride London).

But the thing is, we’re pretty fond of the ‘old you’ too – the one that can’t resist a packet of crisps or the lure of a warm, comfy sofa. And that’s why we’ve come up with Wet January, a simple challenge that will help you be more hydrated.

Wet January? What the…

Well, everyone’s heard of Dry January. And while we get that it’s great for mind, body and soul, Wet January can give you a feel-good factor with a lot less willpower. That’s right, all you’ve got to do it open a bottle of clear, refreshing bottle of Buxton Natural Mineral Water, and take a big swig. Then repeat, repeat, repeat. Simple as that.

A big swig here, there and everywhere

The great thing is, you can take a big swig of Buxton and enjoy anytime, anywhere. At the bus stop, at your desk or down the gym. Wherever you like, in fact – if you’ve got a bottle of Buxton with you, you’ll always be able to stay hydrated on the go.

Staying hydrated is vitally important, as research shows if your hydration levels decrease by just 2%, you’re at risk of greater fatigue and reduced alertness .

But if you’re fully hydrated, it can make a real difference to your well-being, and even your work performance (great news if one of your resolutions is to get that promotion you’ve had your eye on).

Make 2018 the year of revitalisation

This time of the year, when you’re heading back to work and the festivities are a fading memory, it doesn’t have to be the end of all the fun. Do Wet January with a bottle of Buxton by your side, and you’ll be much more naturally pumped up for anything you put your mind to, or want to have a go at.

So get out there, and start doing all those things you ever fancied trying. Sky diving? Go on then. Ballroom dancing? Fab-u-lous! Whatever it is you’re up for, what on earth are you waiting for? Make this January the month you got into the water habit, got revitalised and took a big swig out of life.
