Meet Our Rise Up Runner Tessa

Why do you want to run the London Marathon?
“My motivation for running the London Marathon, comes from having a stillbirth in March this year, causing me to sadly lose my precious daughter, Carley. My life was shattered into pieces and I knew I had to do something to help myself cope. As time went on, I learnt how to deal with my grief, which will never go away, but instead has become a bit more manageable. This is where my running has made a huge impact in my life, enabling me to cope better with grief and also to be able to tell myself that I can do anything through self-belief. I am super motivated to be taking on the London Marathon, doing it in memory of my little girl and also knowing that I was and am able to Rise Up to this challenge and take it on with a great deal of belief and determination.”
