In fact, water is completely essential for life – you can’t live for more than 3-5 days without it.

How much should you drink a day?

To stay healthy, water in the body should remain at a pretty constant level. That means, whatever you lose every day, has to be replaced by roughly the same amount.
How much water we need varies from person to person and depends on different things. Like how active you are, your age and gender, if you’re pregnant and how hot and cold the temperature is around you*.
